I don’t offer psycho-diagnostics services. I shall take into consideration any diagnosis you may have received prior to our sessions.
Ethics
I follow the guidelines of NIP (https://nip.nl ) as guidelines for my practice. This means that I am responsible to keep up with scientific developments in my field and that I am accountable for my work as a psychologist. This is summarized by NIP under 4 pillars:
Article 9 — Responsibility
Psychologists are aware of their professional and scientific responsibilities toward the individuals concerned, their environments, and society. Psychologists are accountable for their professional actions. To the best of their ability, they ensure that the services they provide and the work they perform are not misused.
Article 10 — Honesty / Integrity
Psychologists strive for integrity and honesty in scientific work, education, and the practice of psychology. In their approaches, they prioritize honesty, equal treatment among the individuals concerned, and transparency. They clearly disclose the roles they assume to all relevant parties and act in accordance with those roles.
Article 11 — Respect
Psychologists respect the fundamental rights and dignity of the individuals concerned. They respect the rights of the individuals concerned to confidentiality and privacy. Furthermore, to the extent consistent with their other professional obligations and the law, they respectfully uphold and promote the autonomy and the right of the individuals concerned to make their own choices.
Article 12 — Expertise
Psychologists aim to acquire and maintain a high level of expertise in their professional practice. They take into account the boundaries of their expertise and the limitations of their experience. They provide only those services for which they have gained competence through education, training, and experience. The same principle applies to the methods and techniques they employ.
I am a psychologist (NIP Registered Psychologist) based in the Netherlands, trained in and practicing various psychotherapy methods. You can find me in the NIP registry under the number 245301.

This holds that clients have the right to complain about my service to the Dutch Association of Psychologists.
